This is an excellent idea, but it's not something that we (the DX Team) would be best positioned to address. It could be done using the REST API of BP v7, but my feeling is this is better addressed by the core product organization.

I neglected to mention that there is a browser-based Control Room feature that was launched as part of v7. I haven't used it myself, but it may be the solution you're looking for. I don't believe it's 100% like-for-like yet with the regular Control Room, but the product team are continuing to add additional functionality to it.
